Personal Care
We understand that people need independence to have a better quality of life. But some may not be able to perform daily activities and personal care on their own due to aging, injuries, limited mobility, and other factors. No matter what level of assistance your loved one needs, our trained home care aides can accommodate. Some examples of the services that we provide are but not limited to: Bathing Grooming Toileting Dressing Medication monitoring Meal preparation Light housekeeping Laundry and ironing Grocery shopping
Respite
Depending on your needs, as well as those of your loved one, a respite care aide will come to your home for a few hours or overnight. These visits could be once a week, or three times per week. While the respite care aide tends to your loved one, you are free to get away. You can use these hours to meet friends for lunch, attend a hair appointment, or even read a book in the backyard. This is your time to rest and recover.
Companionship
The purpose of companionship is to offer company and friendship. Share in activities that bring joy, provide mental stimulation and encourage physical and emotional wellbeing. Some examples of the services offered by companionship care include: Reading a book aloud Playing games Accompanying the patient for a walk outside Letter writing Monitoring the home
Skilled Nursing
At Ummah Care, our skilled nurses will work with the families we serve to effectively carry out a physician’s suggested care plan. Led by registered nurses (RN), licensed practical nurses (LPN), and certified nursing assistants (CNA), our skilled nursing services promote not only overall wellness but also our clients’ quality of life. You can expect the following services from our skilled nurses but are not limited to:
Medication management
Vital signs monitoring
Health education for family members
IV therapy
Wound care management
Disabilities and Special Needs
Caring for a loved one who has special needs due to an illness or injury can be overwhelming, which makes Ummah Care perfect for care. Our home health aides can accommodate many special physical and mental situations. With our in-home care services, your loved one will receive a customized care regimen that takes those needs and their environment into account. Some of these special care situations include:
